PART 3: CABLE WITHOUT SHEARING FOR FIXED INSTALLATION
1. General provisions
1.1. Scope of application
IEC 227-3 details specific specifications for PVC insulated single-core unsheathed cables of rated voltages up to and including 450/750 V for mounting fixed set.
All cables shall conform to the respective requirements given in IEC 227-1 and each type of cable shall conform to the specific requirements of this standard.

2. Single-core unsheathed cable with general-purpose rigid conductor
2.1. Code symbol
6610 TCVN 01 (227 IEC 01).
2.2. Nominal Voltage
450/750 V.
2.3. Structure
2.3.1. Conductor
Number of conductors: 1.
Conductors shall comply with the requirements of IEC 228:
– class 1 for rigid conductors;
– class 2 for stranded conductors.
2.3.2. Insulation
Insulation shall be of PVC/C type polyvinyl chloride compound surrounded by conductors.
The insulation thickness shall conform to the values specified in column 3 of table 1.
The insulation resistance shall not be less than the values given in column 5 of table 1.
2.3.3. Outer Diameter
The mean outside diameter shall conform to the value given in column 4 of table 1.
2.4. Experiment
Compliance with the requirements of 2.3 shall be checked by inspection and by the tests given in table 2.
2.5. User manual
Maximum conductor temperature in normal use: 70 ° C.

3. Single-core unsheathed cable with general-purpose flexible conductor
3.1. Code symbol
6610 TCVN 02 (227 IEC 02).
3.2. Nominal Voltage
450/750 V.
3.3. Structure
3.3.1. Conductor
Number of conductors: 1.
Conductors shall comply with the requirements of IEC 228) for class 5 conductors.
3.3.2. Insulation
Insulation shall be PVC/C grade PVC compound surrounded by conductors.
The insulation thickness shall conform to the values specified in column 2 of table 3.
The insulation resistance shall not be less than the values given in column 4 of table 3.

3.3.3. Outer Diameter
The mean outside diameter shall conform to the value given in column 3 of table 3.
3.4. Experiment
Compliance with the requirements of 3.3 shall be checked by inspection and by the tests given in table 4.
3.5. User manual
Maximum conductor temperature in normal use: 70oC.

4. Single-core unsheathed cable with solid conductor and conductor temperature of 70oC for internal installation
4.1. Code symbol
6610 TCVN 05 (227 IEC 05).
4.2. Nominal Voltage
300/500 V.
4.3. Structure
4.3.1. Conductor
Number of conductors: 1.
Conductors shall comply with the requirements of IEC 228) for class 1 conductors.
4.3.2. Insulation
Insulation shall be PVC/C grade PVC compound surrounded by conductors.
The insulation thickness shall conform to the values specified in column 2 of table 5.
The insulation resistance shall not be less than the values given in column 4 of table 5.
4.3.3. Outer Diameter
The mean outside diameter shall conform to the value given in column 3 of table 5.

4.4. Experiment
Compliance with the requirements of 4.3 shall be checked by inspection and by the tests given in table 6.
4.5. User manual
Maximum conductor temperature in normal use: 70oC.

5. Single-core unsheathed cable with flexible conductor and conductor temperature of 70oC for internal installation
5.1. Code symbol
6610 TCVN 06 (227 IEC 06).
5.2. Nominal Voltage
300/500 V.
5.3. Structure
5.3.1. Conductor
Number of conductors: 1.
Conductors shall comply with the requirements of IEC 228) for class 5 conductors.
5.3.2. Insulation
Insulation shall be PVC/C grade PVC compound surrounded by conductors.
The insulation thickness shall conform to the values specified in column 2 of table 7.
The insulation resistance shall not be less than the values given in column 4 of table 7.
5.3.3. Outer Diameter
The mean outside diameter shall conform to the value given in column 3 of table 7.

5.4. Experiment
Compliance with the requirements of 5.3 shall be checked by inspection and by the tests given in table 8.
5.5. User manual
Maximum conductor temperature in normal use: 70oC.

6. Single-core unsheathed cable with solid conductor and conductor temperature of 90oC for internal installation
6.1. Code symbol
6610 TCVN 07 (227 IEC 07).
6.2. Nominal Voltage
300/500 V.
6.3. Structure
6.3.1. Conductor
Number of conductors: 1.
Conductors shall comply with the requirements of IEC 228) for class 1 conductors.
6.3.2. Insulation
Insulation shall be of PVC/E class PVC compound surrounded by conductors.
The insulation thickness shall conform to the values specified in column 2 of table 9.
The insulation resistance shall not be less than the values given in column 4 of table 9.
6.3.3. Outer Diameter
The mean outside diameter shall conform to the value given in column 3 of table 9.

6.4. Experiment
Compliance with the requirements of 6.3 shall be checked by inspection and by the tests given in table 10.
6.5. User manual
Conductor temperature in normal use: 90oC.
In the condition that melt protection is possible for plastics allowing the insulation resistance to be reduced, PVC compounds suitable for continuous use at 900°C can operate at temperatures up to 1050C for the duration of service. total decrease.

7.3. Structure

Conductors shall comply with the requirements of IEC 228) for class 5 conductors.

Insulation shall be of PVC/E class PVC compound surrounded by conductors.
The insulation thickness shall conform to the values specified in column 2 of table 11.
The insulation resistance shall not be less than the values given in column 4 of table 11.
7.3.3. Outer Diameter
The mean outside diameter shall conform to the value given in column 3 of table 11.

7.4. Experiment
Compliance with the requirements of 7.3 shall be checked by inspection and by the tests given in table 12.
7.5. User manual
Conductor temperature in normal use: 90oC.
In conditions where melt protection for thermoplastics allows for reduced insulation resistance, PVC compounds suitable for continuous use at 90°C can operate at temperatures up to 105°C for a working period of time. the total is reduced.
